BICYCLE TOURISM AND MTB Mountain routes
THE ROUTE OF THE CISTERCIANS BY BIKE
The GR175 Long Distance Trail, the Cistercian Route, is much more than a path: it is the link between the three most important Cistercian monasteries of Catalonia - the thread to learn about the history of its villages, to approach in some places a man-made landscape or a wild landscape; to enjoy an authentic local cuisine in contact with the people who live here and love the land.
The itinerary we propose starts and ends at the same point and visits the areas of Alt Camp, Conca de Barberà and Urgell. Thanks to the stones of the monasteries and the elements such as the hermitage of San Ramón, on the Pla de Santa María, you will enjoy a unique landscape that offers you the Tossal de la Baltassana up to the monastery of Poblet and the way to Vallbona de les Monges. Between Rocallaura and Forés you will enjoy a spectacular landscape and then head back towards al Pont d'Armentera before reaching Santes Creus.

Would you like to enjoy a round day?
Enter the interior of the Cistercian monasteries. Vallbona de les Monges and Poblet are the only inhabited monasteries. Furthermore, in Santes Creus you can discover all the details of monastic life in an audiovisual room.
In Montblanc you can visit the monumental complex of the wall. From the Tourist Office you can enjoy the history of this town, visited by nobles and kings in the Middle Ages.
Taste the wines from the DO Conca de Barberà Denomination of Origin! Don't forget to enjoy the trepat, the rosé vine native to the region. Enjoy a good breakfast and if you stay for dinner, try some of the dishes prepared with potatoes from Prades.
