Designed by the illustrious architect Pere Domènech i Roura, and built in 1914, the winery is the result of the solidarity effort of the local peasantry to build a rational building of great architectural value, and pioneer in terms of its incorporation into the agrarian industry of technical, constructive and oenological conditions.

Although on the outside it is a discreet building that tends to sobriety, in its interior, that maintains in perfect condition all the original elements, it is appraised all its splendor, beauty, amplitude and luminosity.

It consists of a large room of tubs and cups, divided transversally by parabolic brick arches resting on round pillars, with a taller central body and lower wings in the style of the ancient Roman basilicas. Its pressure tank, as bell tower, is another of its most characteristic features.

To this day, and although it is still in operation and full of life, the winery is only a small part of the great facilities that Vinicultura de Sarral, in several stages, has been expanding and modernizing in order to Become today, more than a hundred years after its founding, in a cooperative of reference and the most dynamic of the Catalan wine sector.
