Description
Two-body wine cellar, stylistically on the lookout for Modernisme and Noucentisme and inspired by the forms of the Castle of Falset, which Cèsar Martinell designed for the Falset Agricultural Union.
From the great structural elements to the small details, the conception of this imposing building combines the beauty of the forms with the functionality for which it was built.
An exponent of the architectural heritage of agrarian and rural Catalonia at the beginning of the 20th century, remains the winery where the Falset Marçà Cooperative is producing all its great quality wines. The cellar has been, and remains, a protagonist and witness to the changes experienced in the Priorat region over these years, such as innovation or the revaluation of the territory and its products, wine and oil.
Their wine tourism proposals allow us to know both this necessary innovation and their respect for tradition and origins, the effort required by the cultivation of land and the care of a wine heritage of incalculable value.
