Vinya turisme familiar

An agricultural landscape of vineyards and olive groves prevails in the inland Costa Daurada, which is why wine tourism is the crown jewel of this part of Catalonia. The Alt Camp, for example, offers a lot of very varied wine tourism services suitable for the whole family. In this respect, if you like to walk and enjoy the gastronomy at the same time, we recommend that you visit the Mas Vicenç and do the Walk&Wine at your own pace activity, which consists of following one of the two routes (one is 3.65km and the other is 1.60km) and enjoying the landscape and the winery’s vineyards. In addition, once you arrive at the winery you can continue your wine tourism experience with a wine and olive oil tasting while you discover the place and its attractions. Now, if what you want is to play and have a good time with the family while learning new things about wine, we recommend that you go to the Cellers Blanch Family Escape Room, in which the children’s collaboration is key in order to solve the different riddles and thus reach the end and win a prize.

However, on the Costa Daurada, wine is not the only attraction - culture and history also play a very important role. First, let’s talk about the Castell culture and tradition in the area, as Valls, one of the county capitals of the Costa Daurada, is considered the cradle of this tradition with more than two hundred years of history, and it is also a World Heritage of Humanity. In fact, in this town of almost 25,000 inhabitants reside two of the main Castell groups in the country: the Colla Vella dels Xiquets de Valls (winners of the latest Castells contest) and the Colla Joves. In addition, this town also celebrates one of the most important days in the Castell calendar, the day of Santa Ursula.

On to the history of the Costa Daurada; you will find that this area is a very special place, culturally speaking. On the Capona route in the village of Pla de Santa Maria, for example, you will enter into a fascinating prehistoric environment thanks to the dry-stone art constructions (also World Heritage) that you will find there. And, on the other hand, if you want to see buildings from the middle ages, we recommend that you go on the Cistercian Route and that you visit the Monastery of Santes Creus, centre of one of the largest and most influential monastic Lordships of the Crown of Aragon.

Vineyards, buildings, flora, culture, colours... The Costa Daurada is full of history and, therefore, has a lot of places to discover that are sure to please both adults and children. That's why, if you want to discover the wide range of activities that the area offers, we recommend you visit the Trips & Kids application.
