World Heritage Collas castelleras
The collas castelleras – the groups that build human towers - have a long tradition on the Costa Daurada, and have also been declared a UNESCO World Heritage. The love of building human towers is a symbol of Catalan culture, passed on from generation to generation, and lives on in the main groups of the cities like Valls, El Vendrell, Reus or Tarragona.
Would you like to get to know the heartbeat of the castellers? Visit the eatery of one of the collas on a day they rehearse. Do not miss the performances of the castellers on the squares in the towns and villages of the Costa Daurada, and every two years on the first Sunday of October, you can experience the great competition in the Tàrraco Arena Plaza.
