Besides, you can discover, with your family, the Iberian Citadel of Calafell, where children can learn the secrets of the country’s first civilization: Iberians, farmers and great warriors, which had a 28-sign writing system, the meaning of which is still unknown today.

Near Calafell, check out El Vendrell, with unique beaches that still preserve natural treasures such as Masia Blanca, a 457-hectare marine reserve incredibly rich in biodiversity. It also offers an open classroom so that kids can learn more about it. Admiring this place under water will provide a simply stunning kaleidoscope of flora and fauna. El Vendrell offers 3 different beaches: El Francàs, Coma-ruga ─one of the most popular ones─ and Sant Salvador. Speaking of which, the latter offers every facility to properly enjoy it, but also a true patrimony treasure, as it is just next to the Pau Casals Museum, once the musician’s actual home. You can visit it with your kids and enjoy the guided tours, specially designed for children.

Nature, culture and also entertainment for the whole family; El Vendrell is about all this and much more! Take the Diver Parc Lúdic as an example: a natural area packed with unique experiences you can enjoy on top of trees. That’s real fun!

In Vila-seca, la Pineda Platja, nature and areas for the family create an exceptional leisure experience, since you can find up to 30 playgrounds… yes, you read that right: 30 amazing sites your kids will adore. And if you’d like to discover a singular natural area, don’t miss Séquia Major, a 17.3ha area in La Pineda Platja, which is home to the most important wetland between Ebre and Llobregat. Visit it prior reservation; also available as guided tours for the whole family.

Right next to La Pineda’s beach, find the Parc del Pinar del Perruquet, the perfect place to simply enjoy nature: the breeze, sunlight and shade, soil and water. This park hosts a natural pine grove and a non-natural one that has become a modern icon, designed by Xavier Mariscal to pay tribute to an area once packed with pine trees.

Salou offers 9 beaches, a true paradise where you’ll definitely find the one that suits you best: from incredibly natural ones to urban ones, surrounded by all the necessary facilities you can possibly need for some amazing holidays. Also, in the beaches of Llevant and Ponent, you can find parks specially designed for kids, so that they can also have great fun!

Thanks to the tourist train, you can visit the entire coastline in Salou and stop by to enjoy a delicious ice cream at sunset for a unique multicolour spectacle. Sunsets are the ideal moment too for a nice walk along Passeig Jaume I with the family, whether it’s on foot or by bicycle.
