BICYCLE TOURISM AND MTB Road routes

This is one of the emblematic routes of the Costa Daurada. It begins in Falset, the district capital of the Priorat region; here the ascent begins towards Gratallops, one of the historic sites of the region. This first ascent is only the beginning of this exhausting tour.

The route's hardness contrasts with the beauty of a spectacular wine landscape and the backdrop of the Montsant Natural Park, the only one of its kind in the Costa Daurada.

The route takes you to the Consolació hermitage, protected by a series of cypresses, as if they were guards over this space, revered by the inhabitants of the Priorat, from where you can enjoy a spectacular panoramic view of the Priorat vineyards. From La Consolació you can reach La Vilella Baixa, which the writer Josep Maria Espinàs described as "the New York of the Priorat", and is the best way to start off by reaching the Priorat de la Olive, with Cabacés, La Bisbal, Margalef and also Ulldemolins as maximum exponents, bordering the Sierra de Montsant Natural Park.

Once arrived in Cornudella, make the last two climbs to Porrera and also to Falset.
