BICYCLE TOURISM AND MTB Road routes

This is one of the hardest routes on the Costa Daurada but it is worth it because of the uniqueness of the route, with the winding roads of the historic Priorat, the viewpoint of Montsant in the interior of the natural park and not forgetting the return on the Mussara road.

If you are ready, from Cambrils you will start the route going towards Priorat, passing through the inland roads of Montbrió, Riudecanyes and Duesaigües, almost next to the Coll de la Teixeta, from where you will begin the descent along the road that will bring you to Porrera, with roads surrounded by Grenache and Cariñena vineyards. From here you will continue your journey through the historic Priorat towards Torroja del Priorat, la Vilella Baixa and up to Scala, the monastery where the Priorat winemaking tradition was preserved for centuries.

Get some air because, although the distance to La Morera is short, the ascent will be hard with a road that has ramps of up to 16% slope but with a unique environment: the Natural Park of Montsant. To continue, now back to Cambrils, on the road that goes from Cornudella to La Mussara, passing through La Alforja and Castillejos, a 15-kilometre pass that represents the access to the highest point on the Costa Daurada.

Porrera, in the historic Priorat, you can visit the hermitage of San Antonio Abad. It was built in 1610 and is situated on top of a hill. We also propose the route of the sun clocks, located in dwellings built between 1840 and 1880.

Escaladei, preserves the Cartuja (monastery), the first that was built in the state and that brought the culture of vine cultivation to the Priorat, as well as being the headquarters of one of the schools of painting.

La Morera de Montsant is located at the foot of the Montsant. From the village you will be able to observe fantastic views of the Camp de Tarragona.
