FAMILY TOURISM IN THE HEART OF NATURE

The interior of the Costa Daurada (Golden Coast) is an exceptional setting to enjoy nature. It is a paradise for lovers of outdoor sports, surrounded by green colours - hazelnut leaves and vineyards - grey colours - olive trees - and ochres and browns - from the stones of monasteries and churches - all surrounded by the blue sky. In this natural environment we have been able to practice different types of active tourism to discover the flora and fauna of the territory: excursions to know wetlands, routes with mountain bikes, either through the mountain or on the beach; hiking, and even explored caves dressed as true cavers, even with helmets! Likewise, we have been delighted with the attractions of the Poblet Natural Interest National Park - included in the Plan de Espacios de Interés Natural -, the forests of the Prades mountains and the Montsant Natural Park , with the almost 20 km of the Sierra del Monsant mountains and the `Montaña de la Paz´ (Peace Mountain) which hosts the Escaladei charterhouse at its feet since the 12th century; this is the first charterhouse of the Iberian Peninsula. To all this we must add the different villages and small towns in the interior of the Costa Daurada (Golden Coast): areas in which it seems that time has stopped and in which we have been able to rest wonderfully after so much activity.
