1. Surrounded by a sea of vineyards, the so-called “Catedral del Vi” in Nulles (literally, the Wine Cathedral) is a Modernist jewel of Costa Daurada by architect Cèsar Martinell. The existing parabolic arches stand out, which allowed for the correct ventilation of the brick wine jars: ideal for the fermentation process.

2. At the mountains, in Mont-roig del Camp, both Ermita de la Mare de Déu de la Roca and Ermita de Sant Ramon de Penyafort are located in a spectacular spot surrounded by red rock mountains that follow intricate reliefs. A unique place where nature, landscapes, faith, history and legends live in perfect harmony.

3. Costa Daurada offers both sea and mountains, but also boats surrounded by vineyards. The known as Santuari de la Mare de Déu de Montserrat in Montferri was built by Josep Maria Jujol in the shape of a boat sailing towards the mountain of Montserrat. Visit it and discover its stunning interior, home of a beautiful statue of the Virgin a multicolour stained glass.

4. Down a valley, near Montsant, Carthusian monks once established Cartoixa d’Escaladei. Legends has it that a shepherd once dreamt of some angels climbing a ladder to get to heaven. Hence the name of the Cartoixa: Scala Dei, meaning ladder or stairs to God.

5. The Ermita de l’Abellera, embedded in a cliff in the shape of a cave once a shelter for hermits, is located on an idyllic place right in the heart of the Prades mountains, just 2km away from the red village of Prades.

6. In Reus, in Casa Navàs to be more precise, find the Modernist home of family Navàs, which have remained almost intact just as architect Lluís Domènech i Montaner and decorator Gaspar Homar left it in the early 20th century. Want to find out more?

7. Time to visit Escornalbou. This ensemble became a monastery first and then the home of architect Eduard Toda, and today, it still preserves part of the old cloister. Don’t forget to visit it, as it offers some spectacular views of Costa Daurada.

8. In Valls, become a castellar and get goosebumps visiting the Museu Casteller de Catalunya. Immersive technology will show you the soul of castells, while discovering its truly amazing history. Let’s go!

9. Strolling along the old Botigues in Altafulla, old warehouses where fishermen used to store their tools, is one of the best presents to enjoy Costa Daurada. Want to join us?

Montsant is a mystic mountain full of hermitages: Sant Joan del Codolar, Sant Bartomeu, Mare de Déu de Montsant, Sant Antoni i Santa Bàrbara, Santa Magdalena, Sant Salvador or Sant Roc, among others.
