The Cambrils Board of Tourism organizes guided visits to the coastal landscape of the municipality with protagonism of the sight, the hearing, the touch, the smell and the taste. A visit baptized under the name of Route of the Senses and that is highly recommended to be toured with children. Kids never have enough with a conventional visit: to make them interact with spaces and objects is the ideal formula to satiate their indefatigable curiosity

The Route of the Senses through the port of Cambrils is also suitable for people with some disability. You can also consult the materials in Braille language during the visit and the journey is free of architectural barriers. If you want to hire the guided tour, book it in advance at the Cambrils Board of Tourism

Whatever your route is, you cannot miss one of the town´s symbols, the Port Tower. It is a defense building of the 17^th century located in the center of the port promenade. The building is listed as an Asset of Cultural Interest and intermittently hosts temporary exhibitions on the sea and fishing.

ENTER INTO THE WORLD OF FISHING IN CAMBRILS

Cambrils, in the heart of the Costa Daurada (Golden Coast), is a perfect place for family walks. Both the Route of the Senses and any guided visit to the town will surely discover one of the inseparable activities of this beautiful seaside resort: fishing. Traditional fishing methods continue to play a significant role in the daily work of the dozens of fishermen who have their home port here.

Around 17:00 in the afternoon, except on Sundays, you will see the boats returning in time to port. The fishermen, often after more than 10 hours of work without pause, unload the boxes of sardines, hake, rape, prawns... that you will end up finding the same afternoon in the market.

But if you always wanted to embark one day with the fishermen, in Cambrils you can do it. With `Pesca Turismo´, you embark at 7:00 am with fishing professionals and help them to fish as if you were one more fisherman. A unique opportunity to experience the sensations of a hard fishing day and savor the benefits of the Mediterranean. There is another lighter activity, more suitable for families, which consists of approaching a tourist boat as far as the fishermen throw the nets at sea. PUTTING THE GALERA SHRIMPS CUISINE INTO VALUE

The seafood cuisine has in Cambrils one of its dates marked in red in February. The Jornadas de la Galera, an authentic gastronomic festival focused on this crustacean so tasty but often eclipsed by shrimp or Norway lobster, are celebrated. Some fifty chefs, even Michelin stars, prepare their recipes with galera shrimps. Do you fancy some galeras with calçots and olive oil from Siurana? The bursting of flavors is crowned by the popular galera lunch that is usually made on Sunday.
