Wineries and Wine Routes MONTSANT D.O.
Cooperativa Falset-Marçà
The agricultural cooperative of Falset commissioned the architect Cèsar Martinell to design the wine cellar of the cooperative. The building was built between 1919 and 1924. The cooperative, which consists of two buildings, is inspired by the forms of the Falset Castle and is part of the style of the cooperative wineries of the time, the so-called wine cathedrals. The building was declared a cultural heritage of national interest by the Generalitat Catalonia. The visit includes the tasting of Ètim wines, the emblematic brand of the cooperative. This winery produces Montsant Denomination of Origin wine. Visits in Catalan, Spanish, English and French. Maximum 55 people per group. Theatrical and tailor-made visits are organised (gastronomic, with visits to the vineyards in horse-drawn carriages, etc.). Visits must be arranged in advance.
