Wineries and Wine Routes CAVA (SPARKLING WINE) D.O.
Vinícola de Sarral i Secció de Crèdit
In 1907 the first agricultural cooperative was founded in Sarral. Seven years later it commissioned the architect Pere Domènech i Roura to build a wine cellar. Domènech designed a large functional building that followed the style and characteristics of the cooperatives at the beginning of the century, christened "Cathedrals of Wine" by the Catalan writer Guimerà. Its interior is divided transversely by parabolic brick arches resting on round columns. This winery produces wine and cava with the Conca de Barberà Denomination of Origin and the Cava Denomination of Origin. Visits in Catalan and Spanish. Maximum 50 people per group.
