FAMILY TOURISM DISCOVER
How much history does the Costa Daurada (Golden Coast) has! In its different areas we have been able to follow the steps of the episodes of history and human evolution. We have felt like the first settlers in prehistoric caves, like those of L'Espluga de Francolí, and like true Iberian in the visit to the Iberian Citadel of Calafell. The Roman settlement of Tarragona, the second city in the world in terms of the importance of its Roman remains after Rome, has allowed us to become Roman emperors or gladiators in many spaces, declared World Heritage by the UNESCO in 2000.
We have also entered into the most secret corners of the monasteries that are part of the Cistercian Route: the monasteries of Poblet - declared a World Heritage Site by theUNESCO in 1991 -, Santes Creus and Vallbona de les Monges. Closer in time, in Reus, cradle of the Modernism of the Costa Daurada, we have stunned with the modernist route that has allowed us to know the 24 modernist buildings of the city and to see different spaces related to Antoni Gaudí, a universal figure of Modernism. Thus, as real geniuses, we have discovered the landscapes that inspired great geniuses like Antoni Gaudí in Reus, Joan Miró in Mont-roig or Pau Casals in El Vendrell, with the the Landscape of the Geniuses Route.
