Platja de l'Arboçar (Cala Fonda or Waikiki)
Arboçar Beach in Tarragona, also known as Cala Fonda or Waikiki, is an unspoilt beach on the Costa Daurada popular with nudists. About 200 metres long, its fine, golden sands slope very gently into the warm, calm, crystal clear waters of the Mediterranean.
In a privileged location, surrounded by nature, Cala Fonda, together with Becs (or Roca Plana), Els Capellans, Llarga and Cala Jovera beaches, has been recognised with the Tarragona coast Unspoilt Beaches Award. Arboçar Beach is also in the midst of La Marquesa Woods, part of the Tamarit-Punta de la Móra Special Plan of National Interest.
Unlike other beaches, Cala Fonda is difficult to access and can be reached via a signposted footpath through pine woods, cliffs and native vegetation. It is on the spectacular coastal footpath that connects all of Tarragona’s beaches and coves with those of Altafulla and Torredembarra.
The only services on Arboçar Beach are four litter baskets and a recycling bin.
