Few cities in the country are as prepared as Cambrils to welcome bicycle enthusiasts. Many hotels have bicycle parking facilities, there are cleaning areas and bike shops and special menus for sportsmen. If you are a big fan or simply a two-wheeler, pedal and remember that you are on the Costa Daurada (Golden Coast)!

At the Tourist Office of Cambrils, you will be given a map with all the bike lanes and roads of the municipality. It is a perfect tool to get to know the most rural part of the town by pedaling with the family: cultivated fields, streams, rivers, trails ... They have a network of roads that allows you to reach Montbrió and Mont-roig del Camp in alternative routes to the main roads.

Near the sea, the most peaceful excursión you can make by bicycle is on the Passeig Marítim, the Promenade, in the direction of Salou. In total, 9 kilometers of bike lane with services like bars and restaurants very close. In summer, it is worth avoiding the hours of maximum sun if you do not want to fall plunged from so much heat. Of course, if you wear the swimsuit, you can always make a stop with a bath included!

THE BIOLOGICAL TREASURE OF THE SUNKEN SHIPS OF THE COSTA DAURADA

Shall we travel to the depths? There are fishing boats that want to go to die to the sea. After so many years of fishing in the waters of the Mediterranean it is as if they return to nature the services provided.

One of these scenarios of the last seamens´ will is the Cambrils boat cemetery, which for many years has been a controlled point of sinking fishing boats. The wrecks soon become a biotope (a community of marine fauna and flora) and are also an attraction of great magnetism for diving enthusiasts.

At a depth of between 20 and 30 meters, the graveyard of boats allows a haunting submarine walk with a safe reward. Posidonia algae grow on it and many species of fish and crustaceans are very common. They find a good place to breed. Breams, mullets, conger eels, octopuses, crabs ... and squids usually lay eggs around the entire hull of the boats!

There are a dozen sunken boats and the condition to go down is the maximum respect for the ecosystem. The Rivemar diving club of Tarragona always has an airboat in the port of Cambrils to get to the exact coordinates of this cemetery at the bottom of the sea. Without any doubt a proposal with ecological sensitivity of the Fishermen's Guild of Cambrils. On the Costa Daurada (Golden Coast) there are about thirty more sunken ships along the coast that scuba clubs have well controlled.

THE PRODUCTS OF THE ORCHARD OF THE COSTA DAURADA
