CULTURAL ATTRACTIONS MUSEUMS, INTERPRETATION CENTRES AND OBSERVATORIES

Salvador Vilaseca Museum, Reus

The exhibits in the Reus Museum range from prehistory to the Modern Period and illustrate the history of Catalonia’s southern counties and particularly the evolution of the town of Reus, from its founding in the late Middle Ages to the 20th century. The museum’s collection also includes works by local but internationally known 19th-century artists including Marià Fortuny and Josep Tapiró. Also of particular interest are the legacies of some of the town’s illustrious sons, including the painter Marià Fortuny, General Joan Prim and the architect Antoni Gaudí.
