Casa Canals
This was the stately home of the Canals, a family with noble titles related to other distinguished families in the city. The first reference to them as owners of the house is linked to the refurbishment carried out in 1802 to accommodate King Charles IV and his wife when they visited Tarragona to open the new port. The tour of the house takes in the main floor, the family chapel, the bedrooms, dining rooms and sitting rooms. You can also visit the garden and a terrace with magnificent sea views. The second floor has been adapted to hold temporary exhibitions. The Canals House is managed by the Tarragona Museum of History.
