Tarragona Cathedral, Cloister and Diocesan Museum
Tarragona Cathedral was built on the highest point in the city and dedicated to St Thecla. Begun in the 12th century, it evolved in parallel with the city’s history. The cathedral has a Romanesque basilica with three naves, evolving towards the Gothic from the transept. The cloister was built between the end of the 12th century and the late 13th century and is of exceptional architectural and sculptural beauty. From it you enter the Diocesan Museum with its magnificent religious art and archaeological collections.
