Platja del Prat d'en Forés-Regueral
Prat d’en Forés-Regueral Beach in Cambrils, the gastronomic capital of the Costa Daurada, is the beach nearest the resort centre. Nearly a kilometre long (937 metres), it is at the mouth of the Regueral Ravine, which accounts for its combination of fine and coarse-grained golden sand. It slopes gently into the calm, crystal-clear waters of the Mediterranean, making it ideal for families with children. It is overlooked by the seafront promenade and, like all Cambrils' beaches, it can be reached on foot or by bicycle along the cycle path.
Easy to get to by car and to park, Prat d’en Forés-Regueral Beach is one of the best equipped in terms of facilities and services. It has, for example, an “oasis” with a children's playground, a toy library and trampolines. In high season aquatic platforms are installed in the water for the enjoyment of the youngest beach users. It also offers sun loungers and parasols for hire, beach bars, a lifeguard and first aid post, a ramp for people with reduced mobility and assisted bathing with amphibious wheelchairs.
It also has sports zones, mainly football and volleyball, and, as it is next to the Club Nàutic (Yacht Club), you can hire water sports equipment and take different courses, including sailing and scuba diving.
Prat d’en Forés-Regueral is one of four beaches in Cambrils that has the Blue Flag that accredits its excellent cleanliness and environmental quality. Night-time rod fishing is also allowed from 9 pm to 3 am.
