Platja de Vilafortuny
Vilafortuny Beach in Cambrils, the gastronomic capital of the Costa Daurada, is a semi-urban beach to the east of the town centre, adjacent to L’Esquirol and Cap de Sant Pere beaches. It is 1,762 metres long with fine, golden sand and crystal-clear, calm waters. It enters the sea with a certain slope and there is a clearly signposted talus a few metres away. The beach is along the seafront promenade, although some distance from Cambrils town centre. It can be reached on foot or by bicycle via the cycle path.
Easy to reach by car and park nearby, Vilafortuny Beach has various facilities and services including an “oasis” with a children's playground, trampolines, a floating platform, sun lounger and parasol hire, a lifeguard and first aid post, beach bars, a ramp for people with reduced mobility and assisted bathing with an amphibious wheelchair. If you enjoy sports and want to share a good time with the family, you can enjoy the beach volleyball court.
Vilafortuny is one of four beaches in Cambrils that has the Blue Flag attesting to its excellent cleanliness and environmental quality, as well as to the services and facilities it offers. Night-time rod fishing is allowed from 9 pm to 3 am.
