Platja de l'Esquirol
L’Esquirol Beach in Cambrils, the gastronomic capital of the Costa Daurada, is 656 metres long and located between Vilafortuny and Cavet Beaches. It is a semi-urban beach with fine golden sands that slope gently into the calm, crystal-clear waters of the Mediterranean, making it ideal for families with children and the elderly. The beach is overlooked by the seafront promenade and, like all Cambrils’ beaches, can be reached on foot or by bicycle via the cycle path.
Easy to get to by car and to park nearby, services on L’Esquirol Beach include sun loungers and parasols for rent, a lifeguard and first aid post, beach bars and a ramp for people with reduced mobility. Water sports facilities and courses are also available.
L’Esquirol Tower near L’Esquirol Beach was very important in the era of optical telegraphy as it was part of the communications link between Madrid and La Jonquera on the French border. Night-time rod fishing is allowed on the beach from 9 pm to 3 am.
