Platja de l'Almadrava
Almadrava Beach in Vandellòs i Hospitalet de l'Infant, in the south of the Costa Daurada, is a semi-urban beach some 800 metres long with fine, golden sand, although there are also quite a few pebbles at its southern end. L’Almadrava is an urban area of attractive white houses with a unique architecture and a beachfront promenade. The estate was originally built in the 1920s to house fishing families.
The beach has calm waters and the rocky seabed forms a small natural stairway to access the bathing area. There are different snorkelling routes that allow you to discover the seabed with its posidonia meadows and unique flora and fauna, including a variety of small fishes, starfish, cephalopods and aquatic plants.
Almadrava Beach has certifications such as the Blue Flag, Ecoplayas, ISO 14001 and EMAS that testify to the excellent quality of its environment and tourist facilities. Its various services include showers, wooden walkways, accessible toilets, assisted bathing with amphibious wheelchairs for people with reduced mobility, restaurants serving excellent local and Mediterranean food, and car parking.
