Platja de la Riera
La Riera Beach in Cambrils, the gastronomic capital of the Costa Daurada, is an urban beach next to the mouth of the Riera d'Alforja (torrent) and the fishing harbour. Some 262 metres long, it is also located in front of the Parc del Pescador Botanical Park and the Cambrils Tourist Office. Its sands are coarse and golden and slope gently into the calm, crystal-clear waters of the Mediterranean, making it ideal for families with children. The beach is overlooked by the Passeig de les Palmeres (Palm Tree Promenade) and can be reached on foot or by bicycle along the cycle path.
Easy to get to by car and to park, La Riera Beach offers several services including sun loungers and parasols for hire, beach bars, a lifeguard and first aid post, and a ramp for people with reduced mobility. If you are sporty and want to share a good time with the family, you can enjoy the 3x3 basketball courts on the beach that in summer are also used to hold different musical and sporting events.
La Riera Beach also has a sectioned off area for dogs and night-time rod fishing is allowed from 9 pm to 3 am.
