Platja de la Porquerola
La Porquerola Beach in Mont-roig i Miami Platja (southern Costa Daurada), is one of the beaches most frequented by visitors, especially by holidaymakers who stay in one of the municipality’s first-category campsites, from which they often have direct access. The sand on this beach is so white that the sun’s reflection makes the Mediterranean waters seem transparent.
La Porquerola Beach is some 1,125 metres long and located in a very quiet area, practically without buildings. It offers several services, including water sports equipment hire, showers, sun lounger and parasol rental, a beach bar, a lifeguard post and a floating platform for children to enjoy.
In the Torre del Sol Campsite, one of those close to the beach, you can see the Porquerola Tower, a very well-preserved medieval fortification that in more recent times also served as a telegraph tower.
