Beaches and Coves Beaches

Platja de Cunit Ponent

Cunit Ponent Beach (northern Costa Daurada) stretches from the boundary with the neighbouring municipality of Calafell to Estació Street, in the town centre. A peculiarity of Cunit is that it divides its coastline of some two and a half kilometres into seven breakwaters. The first three correspond to Cunit Ponent Beach, giving it a unique appearance in the form of small coves or bays. The fine golden sands slope gently into the warm calm crystal-clear waters of the Mediterranean, that are classified as excellent according to the analyses carried out by the Catalan Water Agency.

During the summer season, Cunit Ponent Beach offers a wide variety of services and facilities, including car parking, a lifeguard and first aid post, showers, drinking fountains, footbaths, toilets, beach bars, sunbeds, volleyball courts, beach soccer, pétanque, and children's playgrounds.
