Arenal Beach in Vandellòs i Hospitalet de l'Infant is located within the urban core and very close to the marina. At 1,800 metres, it is the longest in this Costa Daurada resort. Its fine golden sands and crystal clear waters can be divided into two complementary parts. The northern sector is an urban beach with shallow waters. It is easily accessed from the promenade and has a varied offer of activities that make it suitable for families with children. The southern part is a natural beach that can be reached via a listed Blue Trail footpath. It has beautiful dunes full of Mediterranean vegetation, white pine woodlands and marshland with reeds.
In the urban area of Arenal Beach you will find the Water Sport Resort (Base Nàutica), an information and reservations point for water and land sports, including kayaking, dinghy sailing, windsurfing, kitesurfing, paddle surfing and mountain biking. In addition to water sports, the beach has a sports zone with basketball and volleyball courts, football pitches, fitness machines and a calisthenics area.
Arenal Beach has certifications such as the Blue Flag, Ecoplayas, ISO 14001 and EMAS that accredit the excellent environmental and tourist quality of its facilities. It also stands out for its posidonia meadows that are perfect for enjoying snorkelling and other sustainable water sports, such as scuba diving.
The services and facilities available on the beach include wooden walkways, showers, accessible toilets, assisted bathing with amphibious wheelchairs for people with reduced mobility, beach bars that serve excellent food, and car parking.
