VANDELLOS I HOSPITALET DE L'INFANT

L’Hospitalet de l’Infant y el Vall de Llors are peppered with paths and fabulous natural corners to discover by bicycle. They often join some of the five centers that make up this municipality of the Costa Daurada (Vandellòs, Masboquera, Masriudoms, l'Hospitalet de l'Infant and the Almadrava) or some of the practically virgin beaches that exist.

For example, one of the easiest trails is the one that connects the nucleus of l'Hospitalet with Cala d'Oques Tip, a journey of just over 2 km that offers a quiet walk near the sea. If you want to do an inland tour with a lot more unevenness, you have the circular route of Vandellòs, Remullà and Masets, between beautiful forests and landscapes of the rocky Sierra de Mestral. On the BTT Routes website you can download the catalog of all the routes, and also download them one by one with GPS data or with Google Earth information. Press, put on your helmet and ... pedal on the Costa Daurada (Golden Coast)!

CULINARY CREATIVITY WITH TUNA

Can you imagine a slice of tuna belly with the scent of Jabugo Iberian ham oil melting in your mouth? Well, stop pretending because during the Jornades de la Tonyina (Days of the Tuna) Hospitalet de l'Infant, this and much more comes true. They are celebrated between May and June, last a month and are a golden opportunity to taste the thousand and one recipes of one of the most appreciated fishes of the Mediterranean.

The establishments selected for each edition - consult them on their web - are set to prepare the most juicy and creative dishes with the tuna as a base. In addition, you can make a customized route to these establishments trying their 'tonyi-tapes'. They are tapas – small portions - made with tuna ('tonyina') that include drink. And by the way, for every gastronomic menu ordered during the Jornades de la Tonyina you enter a draft to opt for a special dinner and tickets to PortAventura. Take advantage!

LA FIGUEROLA, A CHARMING HOTEL ON THE COSTA DAURADA

Is it difficult to find a lodging that lives up to the pleasures of this TripIdea? Well, no. La Figuerola, a restored farmhouse located in Vandellòs, has everything you could wish for a relaxing stay in the Sierra de Llaberia mountains. You are on the mountain but only five minutes from the beach. Can you find another place as privileged as this? To top it off, the hotel has a spa and offers hydrotherapy treatments for all tastes: hot water pool with cervical and lumbar cascades, jacuzzi, wet and dry sauna, steam bath, fitness area ... The enjoyment does not end!

And separate mentions deserve two other luxuries within the resort La Figuerola. First, the restaurant El Safareig, located in one of the old parts of the farmhouse, with a proposal of high Mediterranean cuisine to lick your fingers. And then, the Figuerola Pitch and Putt, the 18-hole golf course. An excellent way to practice the swing with a wonderful setting overlooking the mountains and the sea.
