SALOU

The first time you attend a rally it is fascinating to see how long queues of amateurs look for the best curve to see the cars skid past. Go with a sandwich in one hand and the chair in the other, the camera or video hanging on the neck, the cap on the head to protect from the sun and a smile from ear to ear. The Catalunya-Costa Daurada  Rally awakes the adrenalin rush of thousands of people each year and if you have not lived it, you will be stuck when you see the first car pass by.

FIND THE BEST SITE IN EACH STRETCH

Getting up when the sun has not yet raised is the best way to avoid jams and gain access to marked stretches for the public. The organization and the Mossos d'Esquadra – the local police - will indicate where you can park and where you have to stand to see the cars with total security. If you use common sense and follow the recommendations, the show is guaranteed!

One of the most attractive stretches, especially if you come with children, is Riudecanyes. Childrens are left with their mouths open! Before arriving at the village, the cars have to surpass two roundabouts that have become a celebrity for the passage of the rally. In the first, participants have to go round the roundabout (complete a donut), and they do it skidding with a deafening concert of the engine and the wheels. In addition, there is a natural tier that is perfect to watch the cars move from an unbeatable position.

If you want to see the cars passing by a stretch of earth, the one of Pesells is easy to access and puts the participants on the limit. It is a stretch worthy of the rally World championship for its long, fast and demanding corners.

You'll see sinister characters like Dracula, the Mummy, Frankenstein or the beloved Adams Family show off. If you try to take a picture with them, be careful not to be taken to their dark world!

AN OFFER TO SPEND AUTUMN IN PORTAVENTURA WORLD

Halloween is a good excuse to enjoy PortAventura World with children. Explore the worlds of Polynesia, the Mediterranean, China, Mexico, the Far West and Sesame Adventure. Do not miss the record attraction, Shambhala, the highest roller coaster in Europe (76 meters), with the largest fall in Europe (78 meters) and the fastest in Europe (134 km / h). A challenge! In addition, during the fall the park offers very special prices if you stay in one of the 4-star themed hotels within the park.

But there is still more news. Starting in the summer of 2015 and for at least five years, Cirque du Soleil is set up at PortAventura World. The Canadian company establishes its summer base in the park and presents in its large chapiteau their Amaluna show. Music, poetry, theater and circus go hand in hand in a new creation of the most famous circus group in the world!

LUMINOUS FOUNTAINS IN SALOU

After so much speed and adrenaline, maybe you'd better spend a quiet afternoon strolling and shopping in Salou. When night falls, the color is put by ornamental fountains. The Font Lluminosa, on Plaza Francesc Germà Square, offers 210 combinations of water that springs from 100 pumps accompanied by music. Since 40 years it is one of the great attractions of the municipality. But there are still more!

If you want to play dodging curtains of water, follow the path marked by the Font Cibernètica (from Font Lluminosa to Font de l'Espigó). We recommend doing it in summer or spring; otherweise, you can catch a cold. The whole set is made up of one thousand fountains and geysers and a wate labyrinth, from which you will never find the exit. At the end, another spectacle of water, light and images of twenty minutes duration is a good ending to an afternoon sprinkled with creativity. The little ones will be out of breath and stunned!
